It was more than 30 years ago when Barbe Jenkins-Gibson decided to fulfill her dream of starting a new business. As one of the first holiday themed shops, the Christmas Cottage established a long tradition of providing unique products of outstanding quality and superior customer service that have made the Christmas Cottage a “must stop” destination for visitors since the day it opened.
The store has continued to grow to include a selection of thousands of ornaments on every imaginable theme.

The Enchanted Dollhouse opens in Portland, Oregon and a year later relocates
to Lincoln City, Oregon.
- 1978 -
Christmas Cottage opens.
-1984-
The Enchanted Dollhouse is sold and relocated to Canada.
- 1994 -
A burglar set fire to
the building. Although the store was a total loss, it was gutted
and reopend 90 days later.
- 1999 -
Expansion doubles the
size of the shop.
